Words of a Thought I had

A thought I had the other day:

"Sometimes the logical thing to do is probably not the wise thing to do."

Yes, I agree. I have done so and regretted!

And sometimes the stupid things we do turn out to be the best decisions we ever made, or maybe I am just leading a charmed life.

What is wisdom anyway? It is said that Solomon was the wisest of men and he did a lot of dumb stuff later in life. Some would say wisdom is whatever makes you happy. Some think wisdom is what makes others happy from your decisions. Can't please all the folk all of the time. ~rick

I'm often impulsive so I don't always act on logic. And that has its ups and downs.

Pilgrimchick,
Thank you.

BR,
I am glad you understood where I was coming from.

Spellbound,
I think you are quite right about that, yes. Mind if I join you with the charmed life??? I could use a dose of bliss for a change.

Rikkij,
All valid points you have my friend, but I think I have come to think of wisdom as being more about what is the right decisions to be had for yourself and understanding how that may affect your relations with others than it is about pleasing others or deciding purposely in order to bring someone else a measure of happiness. Of course, my theories in life have been known to be wrong on many occasions.

Shadow,
Don't really know if I'm right or wrong- just really liked the food for thought that it led me on as I was thinking about all the different ways a person could view this statement.

Syd,
I'm not impulsive, but I'm also not known for doing things in a logical manner either..and just as you pointed out, it has its ups and downs.
